Benefits of Napoleon Electric Fireplace

Simple and Efficient Design

Electric fireplaces give off the same cozy feeling as a real fireplace without all the work. Electric stoves are much easier to set up than wood or gas fireplaces, and they don't need as much work before they can be used. Additionally, these units use less fuel than other types, which will save you cash over time.

Customizable Look and Feel

There are also more ways to change an electric fireplace than a gas or wood stove. You can change the mood in your room by turning on and off the LED lights in many of these units. Some units have built-in heaters that can be changed, which makes them look nice and make you feel warm.

A lot of them also let you choose between a traditional wood log design and a more modern fire glass design. Look at both of them to pick the best one for your room.

  • Electric log sets designed to breathe new life into ancient fireplaces, and

Wall-Mounted Electric Fireplaces

Electric wall mount fireplaces are space-saving and simple to install heating options. Simply attach them on the wall using the mounting brackets that come with the fireplace. Installation is essentially DIY, making it a popular choice among many homes.

Napoleon's wall-mounted fireplaces all include pre-installed brackets for easy installation and front heat vents, allowing them to be fitted into a wall. So you have two installation options for these: simply hang it on the wall and plug it in, or recess it into the wall and plug it in or hardwire it. Napoleon offers two main types of wall-mounted electric fireplaces: Allure and Alluravision. The key distinction between the two is that Alluravision's display is more vibrant than the Allure.

Allure

Every fireplace in the Allure line is very thin, measuring only 5 inches deep. There are two types of Allure fireplaces: the Allure Vertical and the Allure Phantom. They are similar to other Allure models in terms of features, but they look a little different.

The bright orange and blue flames of Napoleon Allure stand out in any room. Hooks are already built in, so all you have to do is hang it on the wall and plug it in. Putting this stove together is as simple as putting up a picture frame. It even comes with a cord cover that you can paint any color to match the style of the room. When you put a Napoleon Allure stove against a wall, you can hide the front heat vents.

Napoleon Allure can heat up a room up to 400 square feet without any trouble. It also has a thermostat that lets you set the temperature you want and then rest. You can also save electricity by setting a timer for when it turns off in case you forget. There are six widths of Napoleon Allure: 32”, 42”, 50”, 60”, 72”, and 100”.

Allure Vertical

Allure Vertical is like any other Allure stove in that it is tall instead of wide. As well as being vertical, the Allure Vertical fireplace has a glass frame with a glass screen that lets you see the flames from all sides.

It comes in two heights: 32" and 38". This is a great choice for places that don't have a lot of wall space.

Allure Phantom

The Napoleon Allure Phantom fireplace is like the other Allure fireplaces in some ways, but the frame and screen are different.

Phantom has a mesh screen and a matte black frame. There will be less reflection on the Allure Phantom than on other all-glass Allure stoves. Its finish is more natural and subdued. You can get the Allure Phantom line in three widths: 42”, 50”, and 60”.

Alluravision

The Napoleon Alluravision has a more colorful screen than the Allure models. It has four flame colors and six ash bed colors. Like Allure, Alluravision comes with a built-in bracket that makes it easy to mount on the wall. You can hang it wherever you want. There are two different depths for this fireplace set. The slimline models are 4 1/4" deep, and the deep models are 5 1/4" deep.

When it comes to light shows, the fireplace's depth is important. You can put more artistic items in front of the fire, like logs, if you want to. The deep ones come with both fire glass and a set of logs. These types are too thin to fit any log set, but they do come with fire glass.

There are three widths for the slimmer models: 40”, 50”, and 60”. There are only two widths for deep models: 50" and 60". The amount of heat they put out is another big difference between the slim and deep types. The slimline version can only heat up to 5,000 BTUs, which is about the same as 90% of all electric fireplaces on the market. A slimline stove from Alluravision can heat an area of up to 400 square feet.  The deep types can give off 9,000 BTUs of heat, which is almost twice as much if they are hardwired to 240V.

Built-in Fireplaces

As previously stated, one advantage of Napoleon wall-mounted fireplaces is that they can be seamlessly integrated into a wall if their vent is positioned in the front. Indeed, that statement holds true for Allure and Alluravision fireplaces. Additionally, there are models available specifically for recessed installation. Now, let's look at them.

Ascent

The Napoleon Ascent offers a range of impressive features, including ultra bright LED lights, night lights, a whisper-quiet fan, and a powerful 9,000 BTU heater. Similar to Ascent, the Cinema fireplace insert features night lights available in blue, orange, white, and multi-colors. Additionally, it features a sleep timer and includes a remote control.

Cinema sets itself apart from other electric inserts with its fire glass version, offering a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. Unlike most electric fireplace inserts that come with log sets, Cinema brings a modern touch to your space. Cinema Glass offers a Topaz glass ember bed that gracefully fades away when the fireplace is switched off, creating an incredibly realistic ambiance. Offered in three different sizes - 24”, 27”, and 29” wide.

Element

The Napoleon Element offers a 36" wide built-in firebox with a range of top light colors, flame settings, and ember bed brightness settings to suit your preferences. Fireplace mantels can now be conveniently integrated with modern fireplaces, eliminating the need for separate construction. Napoleon provides a wide range of mantel packages that complement their electric fireplaces.

How To Install  Napoleon Electric Fireplace

Step 1: Frame Your Installation

After taking care of the aforementioned conditions, installing your electric fireplace starts with framing the installation. The structural specs for your electric fireplace can be found in the user handbook. These specifications will outline the measurements that you must remove to make room for your fireplace.

The Napoleon Alluravision installation manual includes specifications for each unit's height and breadth. Furthermore, two distinct depths are provided, one for the Deep Depth model and another for the Slimline model. Make sure you have the right product type before starting the installation.

Furthermore, the junction box for Napoleon Alluravision will be situated in the installation's lower left corner while facing the wall. You will need to access this part of the unit later, so make sure you factor this in during installation.

Step 2: Remove Attached Components As Necessary to Continue Installation

It might be necessary to take out a few pre-attached parts of your electric fireplace in order to make installation easier. The steps in this process could differ greatly according on the fireplace model you own.

To remove the front glass of the Napoleon Alluravision device, unscrew the installation screw and disengage the glass from the installation brackets. Because of the glass's size and weight, we advise using two persons to complete this procedure.

You must also remove the plastic panel holders for Napoleon Alluravision that are situated on either side of the device in addition to the front glass. It will also be necessary to remove any side coverings that were put in before the installation.

Step 3: Install Trim Pieces (If Applicable)

On each side of the Napoleon Alluravision, you need to attach the left, right, top, and bottom trim pieces. Before going to Step 4, use the trim screws that came with the pieces to hold them in place.

It is important to keep in mind that this step might not be needed for the electric stove you bought. But your unit might come with its own mounting brackets or other trim pieces that you will need to finish the fitting. For more information, look at your installation instructions.

Step 4: Test Mount Appliance in Wall

Next, put your device against the wall that has a frame. This step is meant to make sure that everything fits right before moving on with the installation. If your system needs to be fixed, do so before moving on. For the Napoleon Alluravision, you will also need to put shims between the gadget and the frame, which are not included.

Step 5: Connect Electrical Supply (If Applicable)

The next step, if you want to, is to hard-wire the device into the home's wiring. Please keep in mind that only a trained mechanic should do this step. This will make sure that the process is safe and reliable. If you need more information, you can show your electrician the wiring directions in your user manual.

If this device is hardwired, it must be electrically connected and grounded in line with local laws. If there are no state codes, the current ANSI/NFPA 70 National Electrical Code should be used for installations in the US. Also, make sure there is enough wire left over so that the gadget can be taken out of the box and fixed if needed.

Steps 6: Reinstall Components As Necessary to Continue Installation and Secure the Appliance in the Wall

This step may need to be done in a different order based on the type of fireplace you have. Again, this guide only gives you general ideas. For detailed directions on how to use your fireplace, you should look at the manual that came with it. Up until this point, the general steps for installing an electric fireplace are pretty much the same. However, based on how your unit was built, the next steps may be very different.

So, the Napoleon Alluravision needs to be locked down during this part of the installation process. Attach the device to the wall with the four screws that come with it. Do not make the screws too tight while they are being installed.

If you took any parts off in Step 2, you will probably need to put them back on for this step, since the gadget is now in the wall. For the Alluravision, this means putting back in place the plastic panel frames that you took off before.

Step7: Install Media (If Applicable)

Not all electric stoves have media that are as easy to take out as the Napoleon Alluravision. For this one, you will now put the fire glass crystals and/or log media into the media tray. Fire glass should be spread out evenly from side to side in the unit, and any log media should be put in according to the manufacturer's instructions to make sure the unit works right.

Step 8 : Reinstall Front Glass (If Applicable)

After putting the fireplace media in the media tray, use the opposite order of the steps you just took to put the front glass back on. For the Alluravision, line up the pins on the device, move the glass in and out to fit the brackets, and use the installation screw to hold down the middle part of the top of the front glass. Once everything is in place, you'll need to put the cover plate over the screw.

Step 9 : Enjoy Your New Fireplace

Now that you've done it right, your stove should be ready to use. Enjoy how warm and cozy your room feels now!

Now is a great time to read through your fireplace's user instructions and make sure you understand how all of its controls work. On the Napoleon Alluravision, this includes controlling the flame, the heat, the lighting of the ember bed, and the temperature. You can try different choices until you find the ones you like best.

How To Clean  Napoleon Electric Fireplace

Electric fireplaces don't need as much upkeep as other types of fireplaces because they don't burn wood or give off smoke or fumes through their vents. Electric fireplace LED lights can last up to 10 years, so they won't need to be replaced very often either.

You don't have to clean your electric fireplaces at a certain time, but it is suggested that you do it once a year to get rid of dust and other debris. To clean the glass part of your electric fireplace, all you need is a soft rug and glass cleaner spray. Then, clean the top and sides of the unit with a dusting brush. This is a very simple thing that you could add to your spring cleaning list.
