- Vertical Gas Stove Installations: Measure the distance from the stove outlet to the ceiling to determine the required length of the black pipe. Select either a ceiling support/wall thimble cover or a cathedral ceiling support box.
- To determine the length of galvanized pipe needed, measure the ceiling's thickness and the vertical rise within an attic or second story. Ensure firestops are in place at every floor level beyond the first-floor ceiling support/wall thimble cover or cathedral ceiling support box.
- If an offset is necessary to circumvent obstructions, utilize a pair of 45° elbows. For proper support, employ elbow straps with offsets. For extended vertical runs, opt for wall straps. In attics, an attic Insulation Shield is mandatory.
- Gauge the roof pitch and select the appropriate flashing and storm collar while determining the minimum height above the roof.
- In horizontal installations, refer to the appliance manufacturer's instructions for the minimum rise and maximum horizontal run. If height limitations hinder adequate rise above the appliance, consider employing a snorkel termination. Be sure to choose the suitable Horizontal Termination Cap as specified in the appliance manufacturer's installation instructions. To safeguard vinyl siding, utilize a vinyl siding standoff. Always verify the appliance manufacturer’s instructions for wall thimble and firestop requirements.

These general design recommendations are provided to aid in selecting and designing the venting components for your installation. Prior to installing your chimney system, always adhere to DuraVent Installation instructions included with the cap or support box. - Important: Verify that the DuraVent direct vent system is approved for use with the brand-name appliance you've chosen by checking the manufacturer’s rating plate and instruction manual.
- Ensure that the inner and outer pipe diameters align with the appliance's outlet size.
- Review the appliance manufacturer's installation instructions to confirm permitted vent configurations (e.g., horizontal, vertical, chimney reline) and check for any venting restrictions, such as maximum horizontal run, minimum and maximum vertical rise, or maximum offset.
- Prioritize safety by maintaining the minimum clearances (air-space) between the vent pipe and nearby combustibles as specified in the appliance manufacturer’s installation instructions. Utilize proper support and bracing, adhere to local building codes, and schedule regular inspections for your venting system.

Damages:
It is very important that you inspect the packaging of your items when they arrive and check if you received all boxes listed on the delivery receipt. If you notice any damage or shortage of packages, you must make note of it on the bill of lading, take pictures, and refuse delivery. Your note should say "refused due to damage". You must also take photos of all sides of the box and send them to us within 2 days. If there are no damages visible before opening the box, you must note "subject to further inspection may contain concealed damage". If you notice any damage after receiving the delivery, do not throw the box away, and contact us with the photos. After we receive information from you about the refused delivery or concealed damage, we immediately initiate a claim with the shipping company or with the manufacturer. After the claim is fully processed, we ship all replacements at absolutely no cost to you.
Cancellations & Refunds:
We offer free order cancellations before the shipping label or Bill of Lading is generated, or prior to the commencement of production for custom orders. Please note that custom-made items are not eligible for refunds once production has begun. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in its original condition, with all packaging intact and in perfect condition. Orders delivered outside of the United States are not eligible for refunds. If your order arrives damaged, please refer to the "Damages" section. Our refund policy extends for 30 days. If 30 days have elapsed since your purchase, regrettably, we cannot process a refund. Prior to returning an item, please contact us to discuss shipping details. All refunds will be credited to the original credit card or PayPal account used for the purchase, within two days of receiving the returned items at our warehouse.
